Rare books - Turn the pages (Link)

A real treasure!
For example the original "Alice in Wonderland" or the first map of Europe or Leonardo da Vinci's drawings etc.
Have a look and turn the pages. A very special experience!

26/9 European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages is on the 26 September.

Let's use this day to ask ourselves why we should bother learning a second or third (etc.) language.
Basically you could say that there are at least 2 different ways of explaining:
1) Knowing other people's language, it moves them and their world a little closer to you.
2) It makes your personal world a bigger place
3) ... (What's your explanation?)

Saentis tour 1 August 2007

Thank you to my students of English Lina and Hans for taking me on this (for me) challenging hiking tour on the highest Alpstein mountain "Saentis" (2502 m). After 3 and a half hours of hiking and a little climbing we reached the peak.
